PM SHRI Yojana
The PM SHRI School (PM Schools for Rising India) Yojana, launched in 2022, aims to upgrade around 14,500 government-managed schools, including KVS and NVS, with an investment of ₹27,360 crore over five years (2022–27).
The scheme will benefit over 1.8 million students, focusing on improving education and preparing them for a rapidly changing world in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
What is PM SHRI Labs?
The PM SHRI (PM Schools for Rising India) Lab initiative is part of the flagship PM SHRI Scheme announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2022, under the National Education Policy 2020 framework. These labs are integral to transforming selected government schools into world-class educational institutions that nurture responsible, skilled citizens ready for the 21st century.
